From Casablanca to Marrakech in 4 days Starting in Rabat, Oudaias, and Meknes (Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, Sahrij Souani Bassin, Bab El Mansour Gate...), Via Desert will journey through the Sahara Desert, stopping in Rabat, Oudaias, and Meknes (Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, Sahrij Souani Bassin, Bab El Mansour Gate...) ITINERARY OF: 4 DAYS TOUR FROM CASABLANCA TO MARRAKECH VIA DESERT
DAY 1 : CASABLANCA – RABAT – MEKNES – FES
We met at the agreed-upon spot after that. We'll start our trip in Rabat, where we'll visit the Old Kasbah of Udayas and the Hassan Tower, as well as Meknes, Morocco's other royal city. Before going on to Fez, the famous Bab El Mansour gate, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and the Sahrij Souani will be visited. Spend the night in a hotel or a Riad.
DAY 2 :FES – IFRANE – MERZOUGA SAHARA DESERT
After breakfast, we'll go to Ifrane, often known as "Moroccan Switzerland," and Azrou via the Tizi n t'lghamt pass in the Middle Atlas Mountains. We'll stop at several locations for photos and have lunch in Midelt, after which we'll continue our journey through Ziz Valley, Errachidia, Erfoud, and finally Merzouga, the Moroccan Sahara Desert's heart, where you'll recuperate before riding camels and venturing into the deep desert. While camel trekking, we'll witness the sunset over the sand dunes. We'll spend the night in desert tents, listening to Berber drumming music and staring at the sky, after a delicious dinner at a Sahara Desert camp.
DAY 3 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY
Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to witness one of the most magnificent sunrises you'll ever see. After sunrise and breakfast, you'll return to the hotel in Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting for you. Then you'll go to Rissani, where we'll explore the Markt, a historic settlement that was the birthplace of Morocco's royal family and a crossroads for caravans travelling as far as Timbuktu, Mali. Continue on to the Todra gorges, Morocco's tallest and narrowest canyons, where you'll come across several hooded men and veiled women. After lunch in the valley, we'll drive into the Dades Valley, where you can see amazing sandcastles and strange rock formations known as "monkey toes." We'll spend the night in a nice hotel with a view of the Dades valley.
DAY 4 : DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – HIGH ATLAS MOUNATINS – MARRAKECH
After breakfast in the hotel, the day will begin with a visit of the Dades Gorges' amazing rock formations. Then travel via the Rose Valley to Kalaa M'gouna and skoura before arriving in Oarzazate, Africa's Hollywood, and stopping at the Atlas Film Studios. After then, it's on to the "Kasbah Ait Benhaddou," which has been a UNESCO world historic site since 1986. After seeing the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which has served as a natural setting for films like "Alexender, Gladiator, Babel...", have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we'll drive to Marrakech's red city, passing across the Tizi N'tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Transfer from the airport to your accommodation in Marrakech.
